Having a reliable backup solution should be considered the most important element of computing.
Should the worst happen and your computer(s) suffer hardware failure, the resulting loss of data can be devastating. The time it could take to reconstruct a database from scratch, reproduce current documents or realise that your precious photographs could be lost forever does not seem worth contemplating.
